Garden Style Wedding at Casa Loma in Toronto

When I say this wedding was perfect, I'm not kidding. It was a beautiful hot summer day, at a coveted wedding venue - Casa Loma in Toronto. The talented Kayla Yestal Photography captured the day, and sprinkle in a stunning ceremony installation, you really can’t ask for more!

The bouquets were designed in a fresh and neutral colour palette. They were filled with spray roses, ranunculus, peonies, spirea and mix of salal and eucalyptus greenery. These classic bouquets paired beautifully against her bridal grown and the black bridesmaid dresses.

Our favourite part of the wedding was designing this stunning floral installation. There were so many possibilities when it came to designing this structure, when we were drafting designs, it was important to showcase the shape but also add softness and romance to the ceremony installation. Our Full Service Floral Design offering includes a site visit, so we took note of the garden and it’s trees and flowers and chose foliage and blooms that would suit the area.

This arch fit in perfectly within Casa Loma’s garden because we included foraged greens that were very similar to the foliage found in the garden. Using that foraged greenery as a base, we then added a variety of white roses, delphinium, and Queen Anne’s lace to create an organic and natural feel to the arch. Along the aisle, we included mounds of flowers that added to the garden feel of the ceremony. We love repurposing flowers from the ceremony for the reception, so we later used those aisle markers for the reception head table.

The reception was decorated with a mix of compote centerpieces and garlands. We made sure to keep the floral pieces fresh and simple so that the focus would be on the beautiful tented reception space.

Thank you J+ D for the opportunity to design your wedding, it was truly an honor! All the best on your future together!
